Northlands is set in the beautiful surroundings of Rosemount in Blairgowrie. We have fully qualified nursing and care staff who look after residents in our 49 rooms. We are able to care for residents with advanced dementia and other specialist nursing needs and cognitive impairment.
The Manor
The manor house has 22 single bedrooms all of which have their own toilet and washing facilities, and in addition there are two fully assisted bathrooms.
There is a large dining room for meals and group activities, additional living rooms and day areas, of which two have televisions. The rooms are spread over two floors and serviced by a lift.
There are many original features such as the beautiful wood panelling in the main sitting room and many of the bedrooms. Most of the rooms have a pleasant outlook over the grounds.
The Lodge
All of the staff who care for residents in the Lodge receive specialist training for dealing with residents with dementia. The building has been designed to create a safe and secure environment.
Our Logo depicts the Rowan tree which has a long, sacred history. Since ancient times people have been planting a Rowan beside their home as it is known as the Tree of Life and symbolises courage, wisdom and protection.
Northlands is set within 3 acres of private grounds with mature trees, lawns and borders including a number of our own Rowan trees. We have ample parking on site and visitors are welcome.
Our dementia garden provides a secure and safe outdoor space for our residents in the Lodge. elsewhere in our grounds we have areas for residents to grow tomatoes and raised accessible borders for our residents who enjoy gardening.
